Note:
Men and women who live in the Pacific Southwest District (PSD) who desire to become deacons or parish ministry assistants within their congregation may find it difficult because of distance to travel to onsite locations where Lay Leadership Training courses are offered. An alterative is to take the online courses offered through Leadership Advancement Process (LAP) and Mission Training Center (MTC). The courses would be accepted by the Pacific Southwest District Lay Leadership Training program. Final requirements upon completion of courses must be finished in the PSD before being commissioned as a deacon or parish ministry assistant in their congregation. People living near the site locations within the PSD desiring to become a deacon, parish ministry assistant or for personal enrichment are encouraged to take the courses within the Pacific Southwest District. Contact Duane Rohmaller, Director, for additional information at pswroh@aol.com.
