...a pastoral ministry of Word and Sacrament in a congregation during the
in-between time that follows the departure of a regularly called pastor and
the arrival of another.
...a contracted and compensated arrangement wherein an ordained minister
trained in interim ministry assumes the rights and duties in the congregation of
a regularly called pastor.
...taking seriously the unique possibilities and positive potential for constructive
ministry offered in the transition period - an intentional approach which intends
to up build the congregation, strengthen its mission, and enhance its health.
